By the title of this post, I bet you thought it would be all about dry shampoo, didn't you? If you're trying to embrace day 2 (or more) hair, dry shampoo is a given, and let me just say that I love the stuff. I apply it to freshly washed hair and day old hair alike. I love it in spray forms and I love it in powder forms. There's no denying that dry shampoo is a key product for keeping your hair looking fresh between washes.
Back in August, I had the opportunity to visit Salon Adelle, a local award-winning salon here in Greenville, South Carolina (read all about my experience here.) Adelle so kindly sent me home with a few trial size products from a premier hair product company that they carry in their salon called Oribe. I had heard of their products before, but I don't believe I had ever had the opportunity to try them out, so I was so excited to receive this sweet gift!
The Oribe Signature Shampoo and Conditioner smell amazing, and I have been using the Supershine Moisturizing Cream on my ends most days that I style my hair to keep it silky and shiny (a tiny bit of this product definitely goes a long way.) I also just recently threw a travel size bottle of the Free Styler Working Hairspray in my purse for touchups on the go. While I have been enjoying those products, I'm here today to share my hands down favorite Oribe product - the Oribe Hair Refresher!
The Oribe Hair Refresher is basically like a perfume intended just for your hair. It's honestly not something I probably would have ever purchased just to try out, but I am so glad that Adelle introduced me to it! If you've ever eaten at a Mexican restaurant or sat around a bonfire, you may have noticed the smells from the environment are absorbed into your hair and clothes, and it's kind of hard to get rid of the smell without a good wash.
I can't stand when my hair holds on to these weird smells or just smells dirty from skipping a wash, but the Oribe Hair Refresher has been a game changer in my haircare routine. I've been using this product on my day 2 hair pretty consistently for the past few weeks. The scent is lovely, but it isn't super strong, and it's definitely not something that lingers or would give you a headache if you're sensitive to smells. I just simply spray it on my locks before I tie my hair up in a bun or throw in some curls. When combined with my dry shampoo, I know I don't have to worry about my hair looking oily or smelling weird, and I don't have to wash my hair and blow it dry again. It's a win-win!
If you're in the Greenville area, visit Salon Adelle to pick up these products mentioned, or head to the Oribe website to shop! You won't regret it!
